MISERY LOVES.....

YOU! (Only joking..)

I have found three different songs that say, "MISERY LOVES..." in them..

Misery – Good Charlotte

“Don't you know that misery loves company”

When I’m Gone – Simple Plan

“If misery loves company well”

Dance Dance - Fall Out Boy

“If they knew how misery loved me”

The song title is in yellow. And the lyric is in italics.

Do you see any similarities? Make any judgements? Or is it just a coincidence?

Well, my judgement is... *clears throat*

Pierre Bouvier and Joel Madden were having a coffee one day. As both their bands have the same style (i.e. Punk Rock, Pop), they decided to do one song together. Joel said, "Let's each think up one verse..."
Pierre said, "Sure..."

So they each did that. Joel did first verse. Pierre did second verse.
But Joel didn't like Pierre's verse. And vice versa.
So they had an argument and left. They threw the copy of the lyrics in a nearby bin of the cafe.

Pete Wentz rocks up to the same cafe and gets a coffee. He sits down with a pen and paper to write a song.
He wrote down some ideas and then didn't like them anymore. So he went to the bin to throw it away. And what's this? A piece of paper with song ideas in the bin. Pete grabbed it and copied some stuff down.

A week later on April 17th 2006, Dance Dance was released by Fall Out Boy. Joel and Benji Madden heard the song.
"Oh crap. He's got the line 'misery loves' in there. That's what me and Pierre were going to name our song. Argh," said Joel.

Joel grabbed his notebook. He wanted to write a song with 'misery loves' in it too. Just to make Pete Wentz angry. But he couldn't think up a name.

Finally, on October 29th 2007, the song Misery was released by Good Charlotte.

Pierre heard this song and alerted his other band members.
He told them that Joel had used HIS misery song and released a song.
"He didn't even give me credit!!" exclaimed Pierre.
So Pierre and the rest of Simple Plan worked on a song with 'misery loves' in it to get back at Joel Madden.

So, on December 7th 2007, the song When I'm Gone was released by Simple Plan.

That's my story. X]

Pretty bad, eh? Oh well, it could be true. Lawl.

GOOD CHARLOTTE AND SIMPLE PLAN ARE NOT PUNK ROCK *twitchspasm*.
The Sex Pistols are punk.
The Ramones are punk.
GC & SP are not.
The only band I can think of that is kind of punk is Mindless Self Indulgence, because they do the same sort of insane stuff.
D:

Also FOB > them GC and SP.

/rant. Lmao.

On Wikipedia, it says that Good Charlotte are Pop punk or punk rock and it says the same for Simple Plan. Or maybe I'm looking at something else... X]
